Real Estate Tip #1: Know it before you own it
In other words, make sure you know what you’re buying before you go ahead and make that offer.
If your goal is to purchase a vacant property:
check the occupancy to make sure it’s really vacant and not rented.
If you see a property that says rented, but the pictures look vacant:
check the occupancy to make sure it really is rented.
For each property, there’s a basic details section, photos and a due diligence vault that contains information provided directly by the seller.
Some of these details include appraisals, leases, investment summaries, or just the seller preferred purchase-sale agreement.
In either case, these factors will help you make a decision and will help you be informed about what you’re buying so that you can know it before you own it.
